ARTS SALON

UU artists of all genres (music, visual arts, poetry, writing, etc...) are encouraged to come and share their work. Art supporters are also encouraged be part of the celebration. Participants are asked to bring finger foods or beverages to share.

Meetings are announced in the Eye, the Sunday bulletin, and the Eblast. The time is always from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. It’s often on the third or fourth Sunday. If you wish to attend or offer your home for a meeting, contact Elizabeth Efroymson: lefroymson (at) gmail.com.

BIG QUESTIONS FORUM

For the next Big Questions Forum on Sunday, November 20 from 9am - 10am in the Cottage Library, we will talk about anger. What did we learn about anger growing up? How have we experienced anger in our lives? How do we deal with it? When is anger a good thing?

The Big Questions Forum is a great opportunity to learn more about your fellow UUIers while reflecting on life's questions, in a format that emphasizes sharing and listening. All are welcome.

CHALICE CIRCLES

FINE ARTS COMMITTEE

The Fine Arts Committee determines the aesthetic standards for UUI.  The members of the FAC are artists, art teachers, designers, and others with experience in the arts.

The Fine Arts Committee is a part of the Sunday Coordination Group and is responsible for fine arts programs including visual arts, drama, music, and dance. We procure and install temporary and permanent art displays and exhibits.  We create additional art events, such as artist openings, workshops, art fairs, and Souls and Spirits lll, provide Sunday floral arrangements and care for the plants in the sanctuary.  Each year, the FAC works in conjunction with the Music Committee to create the Arty Bash.  We also cooperate with and participate in projects of other UUI groups, including the Photo Group and Knitters.

KNITTING AND FIBERCRAFT GROUP

MOON CRAFT STUDY GROUP

Join the Moon Craft Group on Friday, November 18 from 7pm to 8:30pm in the Cottage. We will be working with ritual for clarity of vision and connection, and will be walking the labyrinth. PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP

The UUI Photo Group meets the third Monday of each month in the library of the Cottage at 7pm. The group decides on the monthly assignments for the group.

We share at least one good photo on the subject, ask questions, answer questions about photography and where to find equipment, and other photography related products.  Gentle suggestions are given when asked. PUB THEOLOGY

Join Worship Leader, Jamie Hinson-Rieger, on Wednesday, November 30 for discussion at Bent Rail Brewery (5301 Winthrop Avenue, Indianapolis).

Converse about life, the universe, and everything with your UUI friends in a casual pub setting. We provide the questions, you provide the conversation. 21 and over only, non-alcoholic beverages will be available. All welcome so bring a friend!

WRITER'S CIRCLE

The Writers Circle will have its next meeting on Sunday, November 20, from noon to 2pm.
