Finding Common Ground Among Believers, Atheists and Agnostics
On Sunday, March 18th, we will offer a one-session workshop based on the book Bridging the God Gap: Finding Common Ground Among Believers, Atheists and Agnostics. The book is written by Rev. Roger C. Schriner, Minister Emeritus of the Mission Peak UU Congregation of Fremont, California and a psychotherapist for 20 years.
This workshop is intended to help believers, atheists, and agnostics learn ways of understanding and communicating more effectively with those whose opinions about God contradict their own. We will also discover that in some cases believers and non-believers do not disagree as much as they think they do.
The workshop will be held in the Sanctuary from 1:30-5:00pm and will be facilitated by David Jackoway. There is no cost for the workshop nor is any advance reading required. Although pre-registration is not mandatory, we would appreciate advance sign-up, so we will have a general idea of how many to expect. Registration forms will be available at church on Sundays and on the website.
For more information about the workshop, contact David Jackoway at djackoway(at)gmail.com.
