"There is no essential sexuality. Maleness and femaleness are something we are dressed in."

Brief History (continued)

cornerstoneWe have rented space to numerous groups over the years. The Indianapolis Childrens Choir started in our church, Sycamore School started in our RE Building. The International School started in our RE Building. We have rented the building to Building Blocks Academy and Little Scholars Head Start School.

Since we have owned the property, several trees have blown down and many have been planted. One of the first we planted was a small pink dogwood located at the NW corner of the RE Building. It is a joy to see it bloom every spring and remember when our small children helped to plant it. We have an herb garden planted in what was originally a swimming pool. We have a memorial garden where church members may bury ashes of loved ones. We have a landscape plan that we continue to develop as time, energy, and money allow.

Our congregation is very environmentally conscious. We have an energy conservation plan that we are continuing to work on. We do our best to be good stewards of the earth and its resources.

There are many more stories that could be told. But to learn them you just have to join the church and get involved.
