RE at UUI this Sunday, March 1

Just a reminder that our new spring semester is in full swing which means the k-4th graders are now in class together and the 5th graders have moved up to join the 6-8th graders.

The nursery will be open from 10 am - noon with childcare provided by Emma and Mary.

The* preschoolers* will be learning about friendship by talking about teddy bears and making them beds as part of their Chalice Children curriculum with teacher Carolyn Murphy.

The k-4th graders will create group sculptures and talk about what makes a good community during their "Love in our Congregation" lesson with teachers Holly Hendrickson and Susan Cassada.

The Jr. High students will be continuing to explore Families with teachers Tandy Arnold and Jack Brennan by learning about the art of photography.

The Sr. High students will be exploring "How to respond to racist comments" and other topics during their Be the Change program with teachers Tim Murphy and Ray Wilson.

Susanne Hinson-Reiger is scheduled as the RE Associate this week and can help answer any questions you might have.

We hope to see you this Sunday!

With kindness, Stacy Robinson UUI Religious Education Assistant

P.S. Many families have not yet registered for the 2015 UUI RE Program. This is very important to make sure we know how many teachers and supplies are needed for each class. Please check with your child's teacher this week if you are unsure whether or not your child is registered. You can also click here to register your child ASAP!
