This Sunday is a very special multi-generational service designed to honor all those who mother and the children they are raising. We will also celebrate our graduating senior high youth through our annual Bridging Ceremony. Be sure to bring some Kleenex as it is always a very tear inducing experience!
We will have percussion instruments for children to play during the opening song. They will also be given flowers to decorate so they can help decorate the bridge that will be crossed by older youth during the Bridging Ceremony and a few extra flowers in case they would like to make a gift for a special mother in their life.
The nursery will be open from 10 am - noon with childcare provided by Miren and Emma.
We hope to see you this Sunday!

P.S. Did you know Mother’s Day was originally founded as an antiwar rallying cry by Unitarian Julia Ward Howe? Today, Unitarian Universalists are continuing her tradition of honoring mothers by seeking peace for all of their children.
The “Mamas Day Our Way http://www.mamasday.org/” campaign is designed to honor all those who mother, especially those who bear the brunt of hurtful policies or who are weighed down by stigma in our culture. It’s an opportunity to take action to create the conditions so that all families can thrive. Mamas Day is a rallying cry for justice which all of us are invited to join.
