This Sunday in RE

Dear Beautiful UUI Families,

Today at UUI we're celebrating caregivers in our families!

Jamie's sermon is "In Praise of the Good Enough Mother" :

Our culture puts enormous pressure on mothers to be perfect. In the 1950s psychologist Donald Winnicott coined the phrase the “good enough mother” to express the idea that not only is there no such thing as the perfect mother, but our imperfections are actually good for our kids. This Mother’s Day let’s honor the people who have parented us imperfectly. Special music by Onis Dean and Pearl Scott!

Our children and youth are celebrating Mother's Day in a UU way--please check out details below!

It's going to be an amazing morning! Come be a part of it!

Peace and Love,

Susanne Hinson-Rieger
Director of Lifespan Religious Education

Come get to know other UUI families with school-aged children. Our next meeting is Friday, May 24 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the Social Hall. This month's featured topic is, "How do you handle sibling fighting in your family?"

Bring your parenting joys and struggles and find camaraderie and support. Bring your children for fun with other UUI children. Bring a dish to share. To RSVP, for more information, or to be added to the Facebook Group, contact Heather MacGumerait at
