Dear Beautiful UUI Families,
We have a wonderful day planned for your family tomorrow at UUI!
Our preschool - junior high youth will be involved in the world of Harry Potter. Our little ones - 3rd grade will have the opportunity to go through Diagon Alley and "purchase" supplies and a fun new item for this week.
Our 4th - 8th graders will also get to "shop" on Diagon alley and they will be helping out and working on their leadership and community building skills in fun ways as prefects!
We will all have a Sorting Ceremony, a Welcoming Feast, and a discussion about labeling people because of the groups they belong to.
I hope your family can join us!
Peace and Love,
Director of Lifespan Religious Education
Senior High Youth this Sunday
This Sunday our senior high youth will be staying in service and sitting together to hear the sermon:
This summer we are going back and answering some of the questions you posed during our January question box service. Many of your questions were on the challenges of living out our principles in a world filled with anger and violence. How do we love those who hate us? How do we see the inherent worth and dignity of those who do not see it in us? Do we tolerate intolerance? Are we supposed to accept the unacceptable? Join us this Sunday as we examine how we might respond as Unitarian Universalists to a world that is not all sweetness and light.
Layth, one of our youth leaders, will be reserving seats for everyone, youth advisor Tim Murphy will lead discussion afterward in the Sanctuary and Worship Leader, Jamie Hinson-Rieger, will stop by for discussion with the group.
Parents of Elementary Kids Meeting
