This Sunday in RE

Dear Beautiful UUI Families,

I am so excited about church tomorrow! Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter books and movies has magically appeared again on the campus of UUI! A new thing this year is that kids preschool - 5th grade will receive an "ATM card" in their mailbox so they can access the "gold" from their Gringott's Wizarding Bank vault. Then they will have the opportunity to "purchase" their school robes, magic wand, cat or owl, purchase a tiny treat at the ice cream shop and take a quiz to help sort them into their "house" next Sunday. They will also stop by Diagon Alley's Welcome Center to learn a bit about the UU 4th Principle and pick up some floo powder to help them get to Hogwarts next week.

Our junior and senior high youth are invited to join in the fun as leaders.

I hope your family can join us!

Peace and Love,

Susanne Hinson-Rieger
Director of Lifespan Religious Education

Parents of Preschoolers Meeting

Wednesday, June 12 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm is our next POPs meeting. We will meet in the Social Hall for dinner and discussion. Childcare is provided.

This month we have a special visit from a founding member of POPs, Gloria! We will catch up with her, and if we have time we will discuss “dysfunctional families of origin, codependency, and how that is passed on to our kids."

Please bring a dish to share with enough for our childcare staff. We do have a child with a peanut allergy, so please do not bring anything with peanuts.

For more information, please contact Chalice Starling at chalicestarling@gmail.com.
