Our Congregation

“Love is the spirit of this church and service is its law. To dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love, and to help one another; this is our covenant.”

Since 1979 the Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis has been a liberal religious voice in Central Indiana. Our members worship together, laugh together, and work together to create a more loving and just world.

We gather on Sunday morning to encourage each other in the search for truth and meaning, to affirm the wondrous diversity of all creation, to share UU values with our children, and to celebrate our life in community with each other.

Beyond our church walls, we are engaged in many efforts to make our neighborhood, our city, and our world a better place. From crop walks to Pride parades, from tutoring to civil rights, from community gardens to environmental advocacy, UUI offers many opportunities to “walk the talk” and make visible our religious convictions.
