Sunday, August 3, 2008, "Little Red Riding Hood and the Reusable Bag" -
If Little Red Riding Hood were depicted in a modern day illustration, we might be peering at a picture of a young girl in a red hoodie, or hooded sweatshirt, skipping across a parking lot swinging a plastic bag filled with a package of bread and a commercially produced jar of jam. It would likely be very different than the basket of goods covered with a checkered napkin as represented in books of old. In view of current concerns for the environment, perhaps the old ways are indeed the best. Bring your favorite reusable bag or basket and join us for a parade of fashionable environmentally sustaining shopping accessories. Worship Associate: Amy Kindred.
Sunday, July 27, 2008, "I Had a Dream" -
I had a dream back in ’69 (1969 not 1869) at a little festival called Woodstock, in upstate New York. John B. Sebastian put my ideals into a crazy little folk rock tune which changed my life. Worship Associate: Colleen Kelly. Special music: Elise Massicotte, cello.
Sunday, July 20, 2008, "The Chinese Horse Rancher" -
What spiritual tools can we use to cope with our suffering and the suffering of others? Robin will explore ways we can be helpful to others and ourselves as we face painful losses, illness, and other difficulties in life.Worship Associate: Robin Riebsomer. Special music: Loring Prosser.

Finding a “special” space where one feels safe and in control isn’t always easy, especially when you are a child.  Finding “sacred” space in our hectic adult lives is also a challenge.  Whether it is in church, or in nature, or under the porch, sacred safe space is an essential part of our spiritual lives.
